2004-2005 Paper Evaluation Packages

In association with Oxford Tutorials, Schola Tutorials, and Talisker Tutorials, Writing Assessment Services www.writingassessment.com is offering Evaluation Packages for the 2004-2005 school year for students in these online tutorials.   Since 1997 Writing Assessment Services has assisted hundreds of online tutorial students and their families obtain additional value from their online tutorial experiences.

Each 5000-word package will include email evaluations for up to seven essays totaling 5000 words for the year.   Each 3000-word package will cover up to four essays totaling 3000 words for the year. Evaluation of revisions may be arranged separately.

This year for the first time I am offering to all visitors to my website a free download of my electronic handbook for students in the Great Books tutorials, "P.E.P. Talk."   This great resource, the newest version available by September 1, will help all students craft their essays before submission and will help those enrolled in evaluations better understand my evaluative comments, particularly for revision.

The evaluations will focus on the student's strength of expression and success in communicating his message, with notes on grammar, usage, and punctuation.   All evaluation comments are made with an eye toward revision, the finest way to improve one's writing.   Please visit the website to read my credentials and comments from satisfied clients, and to place your order.

I look forward to serving you this year!

Thank you!

  • Schola Classical Tutorials is Wes Callihan's classical Christian tutorial service.  Wes runs a four year Great Books program and offers excellent tutorials in Greek, Latin, and Rhetoric. His essay "Preparing Younger Students for a Great Books Education" is extremely helpful and practical.   Highly Recommended!

  • Escondido Tutorial Service is Fritz Hinrichs' Great Books-based tutorial service.  His essay "Why Classical Education" is a very good elaboration of  Dorothy Sayers' article and a useful description of the philosophy of classical Christian education.  Fritz is one of the pioneers of on-line classical Christian education.
